AVULSION OF THE OBLIQUE MUSCLES FROM THE ILIAC CREST

Due to the speed of the impact and the inertial effect. The seat belt caused a degloving of the iliac crest fig 4.0 / 4.1which damaged the internal organs including the ileum a piece of gauze was used to try and hold in the small intestines. The ileum has adhered to the gauze which may necessitate removing some of small intestine. Operation to be carried out on August 16th 2005. A total of 4ft of intestine was removed on 16/08/05 but it will not be possible to repair the hernia due to the intestines being to close to the surface of the skin therefore any surgery could risk nicking the small intestine causing another fistula. However it has changed its shape slightly fig 4.2 and fig 4.3
